I am back with a quick recipe. I am an Egg Lover by heart. But I don’t like hard boiled egg that much compared to the soft boiled ones. My son doesn’t eat the yolk part of hard boiled eggs at all no matter what as that dries his throat up. When I make Egg Curry, I try to put the yolk part in the rice so that it doesn’t get wasted. But he too prefer soft boiled eggs. My hubby obviously loves soft boiled eggs. Actually He is a die hard egg lover and eat it in all forms. But given a choice, would go for the soft boiled ones.
Now thesoftboiled ones could be of two types. One where the yolk is runny yet the white part solidified almost properly. The other one would be with semi soft yolk where it is not runny but just soft enough to feel the golden orangeish liquid in the core when you put it in your mouth.

Now it’s not a rocket science to make soft boiled eggs. But then we do face failures at times while making this soft boiled eggs. So how to ace it everytime you boil the eggs? Simple. Maintain the time. It’s the easiest version I am sharing. Actually in hotels and restaurants they follow the temperature time factor to boil the eggs to get the desired consistency and texture. In my case, I concentrate on the time mostly.
So let’s get started.
What you Need???
Raw Chicken Eggs of course, say 4 pieces.
And you need a deep bottom sauce pan, a pinch of salt and water.
So fill the pan with water and a pinch of salt and put it on the gas oven on high flame.
Let it come to a boil first.
When it starts boiling, add the eggs one by one carefully.

Now mark the time as soon as you add the eggs in. Set the timer till 4minutes.
Let the eggs get boiled on high flame in that water for four minutes straight. You can turn down the flame one slight notch. But not medium at all. Let it bubble in that water.
When the timer of 4 minutes goes off, strain the eggs in a strainer and put it in ice cold water. Just cold water would do too.
Let it rest in the cold water for 5 minutes.
You may ask why to submerge in the cold water! Even though we take it out of flame, the ingredients keep cooking from the heat inside.Well when we submerge the eggs in cold water, then the cooking process will stop completely. This helps in maintaining the desired texture.
Now after 5 or 10 minutes, take the eggs out of the cold water, roll them on the kitchen top lightly and start peeling very slowly without breaking the white part. Be very gentle with it please.
Cut it into halves to reveal the beautiful soft yolk inside.
Sprinkle some salt and crushed black pepper and put it into your mouth!!!

Trust me your hand will go to grab another one for sure. Its absolutely amazingly delicious and very very healthy. Eggs are a great source for proteins and eggs in the breakfast is a must have to start your day on a healthy note. Serve it in breakfast and or in curry or in salad or as a garnish, its hard to beat it in any way. Hope you all will start getting your perfect soft boiled eggs in a jiffy now!!!
